Hello, I’m Maggie,
A few things about me:
Flower farming isn’t my only job. I have a “big girl job,” I run Prairie Creek Farm’s wedding venue and Airbnb, and I work a few hours a week at my local library!
Sunflowers and zinnias my favorite flowers.
If you come to the farm, you will probably see me with my Goldendoodle, Charlie.

Why lemons?
In May of 2020, I lost my corporate job due to the company-wide layoff at the beginning of the pandemic. I started following some of the most successful flower farmers on Instagram and I thought, ‘I could do this too!’ So I did it. You know the saying, ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?’ As cliche as that sounds, flowers became my lemonade. As devastating as it was to lose my job, Lemon Acres wouldn’t exist if I hadn’t used the lemons that were given to me.
